As a prominent figure in the Papua community, especially in Paniai, with a deep concern for the conditions in his region, Piter Tegai firmly states that the news circulated by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on social media regarding residents being displaced due to TNI-Polri in Bibida, Paniai, is a hoax.
The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) is not only spreading terror directly but also seeking sympathy through hoaxes and justifications on social media.
“To me, the actions of the KKB not only instill fear and force residents to flee but also involve clearly unjustifiable acts of violence that cannot be justified as mere image-building efforts,” concluded Piter Tegai.
“Moreover, this time the KKB has gone too far, not only using gunfire in Kampung Bibida as a means to seek sympathy but also engaging in tragic acts of violence through the burning of schools, shops, and even burning and killing public transportation drivers, resulting in the indiscriminate deaths of civilians,” he added.
According to Piter Tegai, these violent actions clearly demonstrate that the KKB not only seeks sympathy but also must be held accountable for the brutal acts that harm the people of Papua.
