Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey, was fatally shot by the Paniai Region KKB, precisely in the Pasir Putih area, Aradide District, Paniai Regency, Central Papua, on Thursday 11 April 2024.
The shooting incident began when the victim left Makoramil 1703-4/Aradide on Wednesday 10 April 2024 afternoon. However, until Thursday 1 April 2024 morning the victim had not returned. After a search, the victim was found dead from a gunshot wound.
Head of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, when giving a statement, said that the perpetrator of the shooting at Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey, with the initials AN, is a KKB member from the KKB Leader of Kodap XIII Kegepa Nipouda Paniai with the initials OS.
“KKB Anan Nawipa was arrested by the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force on Saturday 11 May 2024, at 10.40 WIT, in Bapauda Paniai Village, and the role of the perpetrator of KKB “A.N” was the cellphone holder belonging to the late Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey.” explained the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.
AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, explained that from the statement of the perpetrator, Anan Nawipa, he explained that at the time of the shooting of Lt. Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey, Anan Nawipa were among those at the shooting location together with the leader of KKB Kodap XIII Kegepa Nipouda Paniai with the initials OS.
The Head of the Public Relations Task Force continued, the perpetrator admitted that the cellphone belonged to the late Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey, was taken by KKB with the initials YB who was also one of the perpetrators involved in the murder and was recorded in a video of the murder distributed by KKB Paniai some time ago.
A number of pieces of evidence that were secured included 1 cell phone with a SIM card number belonging to the late Danramil Aradide, First Lieutenant (Anm.) Oktovianus Sogalrey; 1 machete; 1 set of L keys; 1 BRI account book and 1 blue-black side bag.
“KKB Anan Nawipa also admitted that, all this time he was an active KKB member who always took part in the actions carried out by KKB Paniai, OS leadership,” concluded the Head of the Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno.
