Papua – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) has long caused unrest in the people of Papua. Apart from that, the KKB does not hesitate to threaten and even kill people in Papua itself.
Several people, through figures in several regions, have expressed opinions regarding the KKB actions which have disturbed and even caused deaths in Papua. This has a negative impact on future generations of Papuan children and even hampers the livelihoods of people in Papua.
Many words were said that were not even true, or the KKB even reversed the actual facts after carrying out this action. For example, starting from the sadistic murder of religious figures in Papua, migrant communities and even indigenous Papuans who have lived in the area for a long time.
After killing them, they will always state that they committed suicide, which is Intelligence from the Regional Government. Not only that, they even said that the murder they carried out was the aim of the struggle for Papuan independence.
If you look at it, Indonesia doesn’t even pose a threat to the Papuan people. In fact, since the last 10 years, Papua has become the Government’s priority in the development and welfare of the Papuan people.
It’s just that the KKB is a nuisance or obstacle to Papua’s progress which is actually distorting the true facts. When they come out of their hiding place, they will enter people’s houses to look for food, and steal whatever clothes they can take with them.
Their call for Papuan independence is not what they did. It will be even worse and affect the Papuan people when this Armed Criminal Group becomes a legitimate government institution in the Land of Papua.
For this reason, community resistance, together with the Regional Government and assisted through security forces in upholding justice is a manifestation of moving towards a peaceful Papua and will build Papua’s progress.
