Sugapa – Brigpol Bobby Dida, a member of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Mobile Brigade who is part of the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force with an assignment area in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, suddenly became a topic of conversation after his story was revealed by the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Chief Inspector General Johanis Asadoma. The Kapolda stated that a Brimob personnel who was assigned under Operational Control (BKO) to Papua and suffered a gunshot wound on April 24 2023 was in good health.
According to him, the personnel was shot in the head, but because the helmets used were of good quality, the bullets did not penetrate the head.
“Until I provide this information, he is in good health. He was shot in the head, but the helmet used was of good quality, so the bullet did not go through to the head,” said Inspector General of Police Johanis Asadoma at a press conference in Labuan Bajo on Us (27/4/ 2023) night.
Previously on December 26, 2022, the NTT Regional Police sent 100 Brimob personnel to carry out BKO duties in Papua. The Brimob personnel are stationed in Intan Jaya Regency.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Unit for Ops Damai Cartenz 2023 Kombes Pol Donny Charles Go, S.I.K. confirmed Brigadier Bobby Dida is a member of the East Nusa Tenggara Police Mobile Brigade who is a member of the Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force with a task area in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua.
“Yes, it is true that the person concerned is a member of the Damai Cartenz Task Force and will serve for one year in Intan Jaya, Central Papua since their first deployment,” said Kombes Pol Donny Friday (28/4/2023).
Previously, on Monday 24 April 2023 at around 10.30 WIT, there was a shootout between members of the Mobile Brigade Operations Task Force Damai Cartenz and the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) at the Mobile Brigade Post in Intan Jaya for 20 minutes. One of the BKO personnel from the NTT Regional Police was shot in the head but is in good health.
The incident was also recorded by an amateur video and went viral on social media. The video shows a Brimob team consisting of five to six Brimob personnel who are on standby at the post involved in a shootout with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Intan Jaya.
