Jayawijaya Youth Leader Urges Young Papuans to Uphold Peace and Security

Jayawijaya – The Jayawijaya Student Association has called on the young generation of Papua to uphold peace and security throughout the region. This statement was delivered by Jayawijaya youth leader Charles Kosay in a press release on October 20, 2025, ahead of the 97th Youth Pledge Day.

“The young generation of Papua plays a crucial role in maintaining peace and security in our land. We must become agents of change and contribute to creating a safe and peaceful environment,” said Kosay during a press conference.

The Jayawijaya Student Association encourages young Papuans to engage in various activities that raise awareness about the importance of peace and security. “We must be part of the solution, not just spectators, in building peace and stability in Papua,” Kosay added.

The statement also emphasized the importance of the young generation’s role in supporting Papua’s progress toward a prosperous and advanced Indonesia. “We must set an example for the people of Papua by upholding tolerance and harmony so that Papua can truly become an integral part of a prosperous and developed Indonesia,” he said.

The Jayawijaya Student Association remains committed to supporting Papua’s development and invites young Papuans to take an active role in this process. “We must be part of the change and work together to build a better Papua,” Kosay concluded.
