Participation of the Health Team of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz to Hold Health Services at the Baliem Valley Cultural Festival

JAYAWIJAYA – In order to support the smoothness and safety of the Baliem Valley Cultural Festival 2025 event, the Health Team from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz in collaboration with the Health Office (Dinkes) and the Jayawijaya Police Department to carry out health services and referrals to advanced health facilities, Friday (8/8/2025).

The activity that takes place starting at 08.00 Western Indonesia Time is carried out in the middle of a festival atmosphere that takes place smoothly, safely, and under control. In the activity, there were seven patients who received medical treatment, with various complaints ranging from hypertension, abrasions due to falls, laryngitis, nasal and eye irritation, to acute respiratory tract infections (ARI).

The health service participants involved consisted of a Dinkes team of 4 people, a police doctor team of 3 people, and a member of the Action Task Force of 2 people. This activity aims to ensure the health of festival participants and visitors is maintained during the largest cultural event in the region.

Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Police Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the collaboration that went well between all related elements. He emphasized that this activity is part of the effort to maintain public safety and health during the festival.

“This health service is very important, considering this festival attracts many visitors from various regions. We are committed to supporting the success of this event as well as ensuring the health and safety of all parties,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., also appealed to the public to always take care of their health while participating in a series of festival activities.

“We invite all the people and tourists present to keep clean, bring personal equipment such as masks and warm jackets, and do not hesitate to check yourself at the health post if you experience complaints. Awareness of maintaining health is the key for this festival to run smoothly without obstacles,” urged Kombes Yusuf.

Through this activity is part of a humanistic approach that continues to be implemented by the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz as an effort to build closeness and create a harmonious relationship between the security apparatus and the Papuan people.
