The Smile of Mama Papua and Children Welcome the Presence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz in the Middle of the Humanist Patrol

Intan Jaya, May 22, 2025 – In order to strengthen the communication network between security forces and the community, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz of the Intan Jaya sector held a dialogical patrol that directly touched the residents, especially the Papuan mothers and children in the Intan Jaya Regency area, Central Papua.

This activity that takes place with a warm and family atmosphere is part of a humanistic and persuasive approach that characterizes the implementation of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz. The presence of personnel in the community becomes a real manifestation of the state’s commitment in creating a sense of security and strengthening the relationship between the apparatus and local residents.

Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General Police Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., in his statement said that dialogical patrols are not just routine activities, but a means to build trust and create an open dialogue space with the community.

“We want to show that the presence of the apparatus is not only to enforce the law, but also to listen, embrace, and together build a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

Accompanied by Deputy Head of Operations Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., Brigadier General Faizal also emphasized that personal touch in the community approach can dampen potential conflict and encourage active participation of the community in maintaining order.

Head of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the role of the community is very important in creating a safe and harmonious social climate, especially in areas that previously experienced security disturbances.

“We continue to invite the Papuan people not to be easily provoked by misleading issues. Peace can only be achieved when all of us, without exception, synergize and take care of each other,” said Kombes Yusuf.

The citizen’s response to this dialogical patrol was very positive. The Papuan mothers welcomed the presence of the officers with a warm smile, even some children played and interacted with the Task Force personnel. This moment shows that security is not only about securing the territory, but also touching the heart and building empathy in the community.

This activity will continue to be held sustainably by the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz as part of a soft approach strategy to create long-term stability in the Papua region, especially in areas with potential conflict.

With a consistent dialogical approach, it is hoped that Intan Jaya and other regions in Papua can continue to move towards a more peaceful, safe, and hopeful future.
