Cartenz Peace Operation Conducts Dialogue Patrol with Children in Kenyam District, Nduga

Nduga, Papua — In an effort to build closer ties with the community—especially the younger generation—personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 carried out a dialogue patrol with children near the Nduga Regent’s Office in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency, on Friday (May 9, 2025).
The patrol was led by Ipda Arief Rahmansyah, accompanied by three other officers: Bripda Natria, Bripda Fauziah Dena, and Bharatu Sopyan. During the patrol, the officers actively engaged with children in the area, having casual conversations and delivering positive messages about the importance of discipline, cleanliness, and enthusiasm for learning.
“This activity is meant to build stronger emotional bonds between security personnel and children, who are the future of our nation,” said Ipda Arief Rahmansyah during the activity.
The children appeared enthusiastic and comfortable with the presence of the officers. In addition to the friendly dialogues, the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 team reminded the children to always prioritize their safety, stay away from negative influences, and remain committed to their education for a brighter future.
This dialogue patrol is part of the humanitarian approach promoted by the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, which focuses not only on maintaining security but also on building trust and a sense of safety within the community.
Brigadier General (Pol.) Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., Commander of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, accompanied by Deputy Commander Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the initiative. He emphasized that the presence of security personnel in the community—especially in building communication with children—is a fundamental step toward fostering peace and safety in Papua.
“We want the presence of the state to be felt even by children. Through this humanitarian touch, we build trust, instill positive values, and strengthen unity within society,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
The Head of Public Relations for the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., also shared his views. He stated that persuasive engagement through humanitarian activities is part of the task force’s public communication strategy to bring officers closer to the people.
“We will continue to support such activities across various regions. Strong emotional bonds between officers and the community—especially children—are key to achieving a peaceful and prosperous Papua,” said Kombes Yusuf.
Local residents welcomed the presence of the task force personnel and hoped that such activities would continue to nurture trust and closeness between security forces and the public.
With this initiative, the Cartenz Peace Operation once again shows that peace and security are upheld not only with strength, but also through care, education, and humanity.
