Cartenz-2025 Peace Task Force Offers Free Haircuts for Children in Sugapa to Strengthen Community Ties

Intan Jaya — The Cartenz-2025 Peace Task Force organized a free haircut service for children in Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, on Monday (May 5, 2024). This community outreach initiative aimed to strengthen the relationship between security personnel and local residents.
The free haircut service, led by Bharada Sergio Babo Ximenes, was met with enthusiasm from the children in the area.
The Head of the Cartenz-2025 Peace Operation, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Operation Chief, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said the activity was part of efforts to foster a harmonious relationship with the community and create a safe and secure public environment.
“The children were visibly happy to receive free haircuts from our Cartenz Peace Operation personnel. This is part of the humanistic approach we apply in engaging with the community,” said Faizal.
The Task Force’s Head of Public Relations, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the Indonesian National Police (Polri) remains committed to building closer ties with the people as part of efforts to maintain peace in Papua.
“We also urge the community to continue supporting security forces in maintaining order and safety in Papua. Together, we can create a peaceful, harmonious, and prosperous life for all Papuans,” Yusuf stated.
This initiative demonstrates that a humanistic approach is key to building trust and strengthening the relationship between security personnel and the community in Papua.
