Simpeda XXXV in Papua: A Savings Festival Celebrating Culture and Regional Bank Collaboration

The 35th National Simpeda Prize Drawing in 2025 was more than just an event for customers to win prizes—it served as a key moment to strengthen collaboration among regional development banks (BPD) across Indonesia. Held in the land of Papua, the event showcased the rich ethnic culture of the region as the heart of the celebration, in line with the theme “Happiness of the Archipelago.”
Vice President of the Funds and Services Division of Bank Jatim, Yetty Fitria, emphasized that holding the event in Papua reflects the collective spirit of unity among BPDs. “By highlighting local cultural richness, this event symbolizes unity and the shared determination of all BPDs to continue progressing and becoming pillars of regional economic development,” she said.
Beyond cultural celebration, the spirit of saving was also promoted. A customer of Bank Jatim emerged as the winner of the grand prize worth IDR 500 million, sparking greater enthusiasm for active participation in the national saving movement.
Equally commendable, a customer of Bank Papua KCP Kepi, Andi Irdayanti Nur, received an appreciation prize of IDR 100 million—representing the involvement and economic potential of Indonesia’s most remote regions.
A total of IDR 3 billion in prizes were distributed in a warm and festive atmosphere, with Bank Kalbar, Bank Jatim, and Bank Kaltimtara each winning IDR 100 million. But beyond the numbers, Simpeda XXXV stands as proof that cultural diversity and interregional collaboration are among the nation’s greatest strengths.
