From Papua to the World: STT Bethel Papua Accelerates Digital Transformation in Education with SEVIMA

Papua, Indonesia – In a significant step toward advancing higher education in eastern Indonesia, Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Bethel Papua has reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation. On March 25, 2025, the institution officially signed a strategic partnership with SEVIMA, a leading educational technology provider in Indonesia, marking a new era of innovation for the campus.
The collaboration, witnessed by SEVIMA representative Adi Prianto, will integrate advanced digital solutions into STT Bethel Papua’s academic operations. The partnership includes the implementation of SEVIMA’s platforms, such as an Academic Information System (SIAKAD), online student admissions (PMB), human resource management, and digital payment systems linked to banks, e-commerce, and e-wallets. These upgrades aim to streamline administrative processes and enhance student services.
Papua, known for its rich cultural diversity and resilient spirit, faces unique geographical and infrastructural challenges. Despite these obstacles, STT Bethel Papua has remained a cornerstone of theological education, producing dedicated church and community leaders. The institution’s move toward digitalization demonstrates that limitations can be transformed into opportunities—creating a more transparent, measurable, and integrated higher education system.
The initiative has received full support from the university’s foundation board, which views digital transformation as a strategic solution to overcome challenges in national higher education reporting (PDDikti), cross-regional academic services, and overall campus governance.
SEVIMA, with over 20 years of experience and trusted by more than 1,200 universities across Indonesia, has pledged full support for STT Bethel Papua’s digital transition. “We are proud to be part of this remarkable journey. Papua holds immense potential, and technology is the bridge to unlocking it,” said Adi Prianto.
This collaboration proves that groundbreaking advancements in education are not exclusive to major urban centers. STT Bethel Papua stands as a real-world example of how change can begin even in Indonesia’s easternmost regions. With strong vision and determination, digital transformation is not only possible but also deeply meaningful for the future of education in Papua.
