Biak Numfor Regency Government Ready to Build People’s Schools, Realize Free and Quality Education for Papuan Children

Biak Numfor – The Biak Numfor Regency Government confirmed its commitment in supporting the improvement of the quality of education for Papuan children through the construction of a People’s School that will soon be built on an area of 10 hectares in the East Biak region. This school is a real implementation of a program initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, which focuses on providing free and quality education, especially for children from underprivileged families.

The Regent of Biak Numfor, Markus Octovianus Mansnembra, SH, MM, together with the ranks, conducted a direct inspection of the construction plan location. Also present in the visit, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of Biak Numfor Regency Daniel Rumanasem, Deputy Regent Jimmy Carter Rumbarar Kapissa, and a number of other related officials.

On that occasion, Regent Markus said that the construction of the People’s School became one of the priority programs to support the progress of children’s education in Biak Numfor. According to him, the presence of this school is very important to open wider and equal access to education for children, especially from families who have been experiencing economic limitations.

“This school is not just a physical building, but a great hope for the future of our children. We want all Papuan children, regardless of economic background, to have the same opportunity to get a quality education,” said Regent Markus.

He also appealed to the community to support the existence of this Public School by utilizing these facilities and encouraging their children to continue their education. The Regent hopes that the construction of the school can run quickly and on time so that the benefits will be immediately felt by the community.

Not only as a place to learn, the People’s School is expected to be the center of character formation and potential development of Papuan children. The Biak Numfor Regency Government also ensures that the school construction process will continue to be monitored and involve the synergy of various parties so that it runs as planned.

With the presence of Public Schools, the Biak Numfor Regency Government is optimistic that it will print a next generation that is intelligent, competitive, and ready to contribute to the progress of Papua and Indonesia in the future.
