Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Strengthens Humanitarian Approach Through Engagement with Community Leaders

Timika – As part of the mission of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, which focuses not only on law enforcement but also on a humanitarian approach, Deputy Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Commissioner of Police Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K, held a meeting with a community leader from Mimika Regency, Dr. Jeffrey C. Hutagalung, MPhil, on Monday (10/3).

This initiative aims to strengthen communication and build trust between the police and the community. “We want the community to feel involved in maintaining security because security is not just the responsibility of the police but a shared duty,” said Commissioner of Police Yusuf.

Head of the Public Relations Task Force of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K, M.T, emphasized that this program seeks to engage with the community through a persuasive approach. “We are not only focusing on law enforcement but also on building strong synergy with residents so that we can maintain peace together,” he stated.

Dr. Jeffrey C. Hutagalung expressed his support for this program and appreciated the police’s openness to dialogue with the community. “A humanitarian approach like this is crucial for fostering harmonious relationships and building trust,” he said.

This engagement is part of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025’s efforts to create a safe, peaceful, and united Central Papua. By involving community leaders, the program is expected to be more effective in maintaining stability in Timika and its surroundings.
