Central Papua Governor and Legislature Commit to Enhancing Public Welfare

The Provincial Government of Central Papua and the local House of Representatives (DPR) have pledged to collaborate in advancing development across various sectors. Central Papua Governor, Meki Nawipa, emphasized that a strong partnership between the government and the legislature will drive significant progress in regional development.
“The people need direct attention from the government. Therefore, we must work hard and maintain good synergy,” stated Nawipa in a press release received in Timika on Thursday.
Nawipa added that his administration will focus on improving Human Resources (HR) and attracting regional investment to ensure Central Papua develops more effectively in the future.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Central Papua DPR, Delius Tabuni, affirmed the legislature’s commitment to listening to and channeling the aspirations of the community to achieve progress and public welfare. “We will also uphold the people’s trust in carrying out our duties as their representatives,” Tabuni emphasized.
Inauguration of Central Papua DPR Members for the 2025-2030 Term
In related news, members of the Central Papua DPR for the 2025-2030 term were officially inaugurated by the Chief Justice of the Jayapura High Court, Amin Sutikno, at the Central Papua DPR Office in Nabire on Thursday. The inauguration also confirmed the definitive positions of the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the DPR based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs, in accordance with Article 112, Paragraph 4 of Law No. 24 of 2012 on Regional Governance.
The leadership structure of the Central Papua DPR for this term includes Delius Tabuni as Chairman, Diben Elabi as First Vice Chairman, Petrus Izaach Suripatty as Second Vice Chairman, and Bekies Kogoya as Third Vice Chairman.
This collaborative effort between the provincial government and the legislature marks a significant step toward realizing sustainable development and improved welfare for the people of Central Papua.
