BGN Puts Forward a Persuasive Approach to Socialize the MBG Program in Papua

Jakarta – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) emphasized that it will prioritize a persuasive approach in providing understanding to the young generation in Papua regarding the importance of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
This step was taken in response to the emergence of rejection from a number of students in Papua towards the program. BGN hopes, through more communicative socialization, the MBG program can be accepted and utilized optimally by students.
“We will focus on education and persuasive approach so that students understand the benefits of this program for their health and development,” said the BGN representative in an official statement, Saturday (2/3).
The MBG program aims to increase nutritional intake for school children, especially in areas with high levels of food insecurity. BGN is committed to continue coordinating with various parties to ensure that this program runs effectively and in accordance with the needs of the local community.
