Community Early Warning Forum Mimika Regency Supports Free Nutritious Meal Program, Invites Papuan Community to Increase Nutrition Awareness

Mimika, Central Papua – The General Chairperson of the Mimika Regency Community Early Warning Forum, Luky Mahakena, S.Sos., M.Si, expressed his full support for the free nutritious meal program initiated by the government. This program is considered a strategic step to improve the quality of public health, especially in the Central Papua region.
Luky Mahakena emphasized that the free nutritious meal program is not just food assistance, but also an effort to increase public awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition. “We fully support this program. This is a real step to combat the problem of malnutrition and stunting which are still challenges in Papua,” he said in an official statement, Sunday (02/16/2025).
According to Luky, this program is to build a healthy and competitive society. “We invite the entire community, especially parents, to make good use of this program. Let’s work together to ensure that our children get sufficient nutritional intake so that they can grow up healthy and smart,” he said.
Luky also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders in making this program a success. “We hope that all parties can work together. The Community Early Warning Forum is ready to be a partner of the government in socialization and assistance to the community,” he added.
“We believe that with good nutrition, the young generation of Papua will grow into a strong, healthy, and high-achieving generation. This is a long-term investment for the future of Papua,” concluded Luky Mahakena.
