Yalimo, Papua – In an effort to maintain security stability in Papua, the Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz has intensified its persuasive approach toward the community. One concrete example of this initiative is the community outreach activity carried out by Ops Damai Cartenz personnel, AKP Safri, in Hobakma Village, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency. During a meeting with residents, AKP Safri emphasized the importance of maintaining public security and order (Kamtibmas) together. He highlighted that active community participation is essential in creating a safe and harmonious environment.
“We are here not only as law enforcers but also as community partners in maintaining order and security. We hope that with good communication, residents will gain more trust and actively support police efforts,” said AKP Safri.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commander of Ops Damai Cartenz, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that community involvement in maintaining security is the key to creating a conducive environment in Papua. According to him, a strong relationship between security forces and the community will enhance synergy in preventing public security disturbances.
“We aim to build a closer relationship with the community so that we can work together in maintaining order in this region,” he said.
Through the 2025 Damai Cartenz Operation, the police continue to encourage the public to be more proactive in safeguarding their surroundings, including promptly reporting any potential security threats to the authorities. With strong cooperation, Papua is expected to remain safe and peaceful.
