Mimika – An unusual sight was observed at the Timika Sector Post on Thursday (6/2) as personnel from Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 participated in psychological training organized by the Psychological Team of the Health Subtask Force, Banops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force. This activity aimed to strengthen the mental resilience, teamwork, and focus of personnel assigned to the operational area.
The training was led by Ipda Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, S.Psi., and Ipda Moh. Arsyad Hafid Affandy, S.Psi., who introduced various challenges designed to sharpen mental endurance and team collaboration.
Training participants were divided into two teams:
Belukar 65, led by Ipda Ari Barudin
Belukar 66, led by Ipda Hendri
Each team competed in various engaging challenges, including:
Guessing police terminology, particularly related to Brimob functions, to enhance personnel knowledge and readiness.
A competition to place balls into a box, serving as an exercise in dexterity and team coordination.
Picking up chopsticks with their noses, a unique challenge that induced laughter but also trained focus and concentration.
Carrying the team commander to the finish line, symbolizing teamwork and strength in facing assignments.
According to Ipda Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, psychological training is crucial for personnel readiness in the field.
“Strong mental resilience is just as important as combat skills. We want to ensure every personnel remains tough, solid, and highly motivated.”
Wakaops Damai Cartenz-2025, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also appreciated this activity and emphasized the importance of psychological well-being for personnel.
“Their duties are very demanding. We want to ensure they remain in their best condition, both physically and mentally, so they can perform optimally.”
This training proved that building a resilient mindset does not always require rigorous exercises. Through unique and enjoyable challenges, personnel can learn, laugh, and strengthen their camaraderie.
The event concluded with the announcement of results, with Team Belukar 65 emerging as the winner. With heightened enthusiasm, Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 personnel are now more prepared to carry out their duties with confidence and solidarity.
