Cartenz-2025 Peace Operation Support Task Force Provides Psychological Support for Personnel in Timika

Mimika – The Psychology Team of the Subsatgas Banops Damai Cartenz-2025 held Psychological Training and Mental Strengthening for operational personnel at the Timika Sector Command Post on Wednesday (5/2/2025). The event was led by IPDA Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, S.Psi., and IPDA Moh. Arsyad Hafid Affandy, S.Psi., involving all personnel of Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 on duty in the area.

During the training, participants were divided into two groups and engaged in various activities designed to enhance teamwork, focus, and cooperative spirit. Some of the exercises included:

Assembling straws into a triangular shape to train team coordination.

A competition to move balls using chopsticks to improve concentration.

Creating chants to foster team spirit.

The training concluded with a session of writing optimistic messages and advice for platoon commanders and their families as a form of reflection and moral support.

IPDA Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang emphasized that psychological support like this is crucial for maintaining the morale and mental health of personnel on duty.

“We hope this activity can enhance togetherness and the mental readiness of all members in facing challenges in the field,” she said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that this activity is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the mental health of personnel.

“Apart from physical and tactical readiness, the mental health of members is also our priority. Through this activity, we want to ensure that every personnel remains motivated and has a strong mentality in carrying out their duties,” he explained.

With this training, it is hoped that the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 personnel can perform their duties more optimally, possess resilient mental strength, and remain solid in maintaining security and order in the operational area.
