Together with Apparatus, Equal Education in Papua, Steps Towards Welfare

The equality of education in Papua is one of the important keys in efforts to improve the welfare of Bumi Cenderawasih’s people. Police officers, through innovative programs, also contribute in supporting access to education for children in remote areas.

Education is the main foundation to create superior human resources (SDM) in Papua.

“With equitable education, Papua will be more advanced and its people will be more prosperous,” said Maria Wenda.

One of the initiatives of the police is that the police teach in schools or communities that are difficult to reach by educators. This program aims to provide knowledge as well as instill values of discipline and love for the homeland to the young generation of Papua.

Maria Wenda, a teacher in Pegunungan Bintang Regency, welcomed the presence of this program. “We were greatly helped by the police who came to teach. Children become more motivated to learn, and this means a lot to them,” he said.

In addition, the police also support the equal distribution of education through social activities such as the distribution of stationery and reading books to children in remote areas. This activity aims to reduce the educational gap between urban and inland areas of Papua.

“Education is the path to prosperity. What the police did really helped the community, especially in hard-to-reach areas,” he said.

With the synergy between the government, police officers, and the community, it is hoped that the equality of education in Papua can be realized, so that Papuan children have the same opportunity to achieve a bright future. Equal education is not only a step towards prosperity, but also a tangible form of attention to inclusive development in Bumi Cenderawasih.
