Religious Leader from KINGMI Church Appreciates Papua Police’s Professional Performance

Papua – Pastor Jones Wenda, representing religious leaders from the Indonesian Evangelical Church (KINGMI), expressed high appreciation to the Papua Police (Polda Papua) for their dedication, professionalism, and service throughout 2024. In handling various cases within the community, Polda Papua has demonstrated consistent and fair performance, successfully creating a sense of security and building public trust in the police institution.
In a press conference, Pastor Wenda specifically acknowledged Polda Papua’s success in maintaining security and order during the 2024 Regional Elections (Pilkada), including legislative, gubernatorial, mayoral, and regental elections. “Polda Papua successfully ensured every election stage proceeded peacefully, without conflict, and with respect for the rights of the people, despite the dynamic and challenging nature of the democratic process,” he stated.
Furthermore, Pastor Wenda expressed his gratitude for the maximum security provided during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The friendly and responsive presence of the police officers provided comfort to the faithful celebrating these sacred moments. He noted that this reflects Polda Papua’s high service spirit for the entire community, without discrimination.
Pastor Wenda also highlighted the leadership of Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Patrige Renwarin, who has significantly improved the relationship between the police and the community. “Under the leadership of Inspector General Pol. Patrige Renwarin, Polda Papua has become more humanistic, inclusive, and community-oriented. We have seen tangible positive impacts, with increased public trust in the police. He is not just a leader, but also a close partner to the people,” he explained.
As a religious leader, Pastor Wenda emphasized the importance of collaboration between the community and security forces in achieving harmony and peace. “We encourage Polda Papua to continue maintaining this spirit of service and integrity for a more peaceful, prosperous, and blessed Papua. We thank the Police Chief and all ranks of Polda Papua for their hard work and exceptional dedication,” he concluded.
