The Moment the National Police Secures Election Logistics to Remote Polling Stations by Helicopter in Kab. Dogiyai, Papua

Papua-Polri, through the Dogiyai Police, shifted troops to send election logistics to polling places (TPS) in remote areas, namely TPS in Sukikai District and Piyaiye District, Dogiyai Regency.
This logistics distribution process was carried out using a PK-IWU helicopter belonging to PT. Rajawali Papua Megatrans to overcome geographical and weather constraints.
Troop and logistics shifts began to be carried out in stages starting Saturday, November 23 2024, from Douw Aturure Airport, Nabire Regency.
Dogiyai Police Chief, Commissioner Sarraju, SH, explained that shifting troops and logistics to remote areas was a top priority due to geographical challenges and unpredictable weather.
“We are prioritizing the delivery of election logistics and security in remote areas so that the 2024 simultaneous elections can take place safely, smoothly and conducively,” he said.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Dogiyai Regency KPU, Elias Petege, appreciated the police’s support in helping smooth logistics distribution.
“This process can run smoothly thanks to the cooperation of all parties, including district level organizers and TPS,” he said.
He appealed to the Dogiyai community to maintain security and peace during the regional election process.
“Let’s create a safe atmosphere before, during and after the Pilkada for the success of the 2024 Dogiyai Regency Pilkada,” he concluded.
