The campaign took place at the Yokatapa field, Sugapa Intan Jaya and succeeded in attracting the attention of the local community who enthusiastically took part in the screening of the event, Friday (01/11/2024).
Intan Jaya Police Chief, Police Commissioner Dr. Subekti Wibowo, SH, M.Si, stated that the Intan Jaya Police deployed personnel from the Police and the Cartenz Peace Operation to ensure the situation was safe and under control.
“We are deploying members at a number of strategic points so that people can participate in the campaign calmly and comfortably,” explained the Police Chief.
According to him, this security is a form of service to the community so that democratic activities run in an orderly manner.
“As protectors of the community, the Intan Jaya Police are ready to provide maximum security for all campaign activities during the Pilkada. “We invite the public to support this democratic process with complete calm,” he added.
The Intan Jaya Police will continue to alert its personnel to provide security both in the form of open and closed security until voting day on November 27 2024.
“The 2024 Pilkada is a very important moment where the involvement of security forces is needed in initiating and securing the implementation stages which are full of hustle and bustle of the 2024 Pilkada where the situation of vulnerability can increase at any time and affect security stability and transmission at every stage,” he said.
For this reason, he appealed to all levels of Intan Jaya society to maintain a safe and conducive situation for each other. The public was also asked to play an active role in this democratic process without worry so that each stage of the 2024 Pilkada can run safely and smoothly.
“The leadership hopes that our police officers will maintain neutrality during the 2024 regional elections. It is strictly forbidden for us to involve ourselves in practical politics or take part in politics because it will have a negative impact and damage the good name of the National Police Institution,” he concluded.
