Jayapura- The Intan Jaya Armed Criminal Group (KKB) carried out an attack on the Homeyo Police, in Pogapa Village, Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency on Tuesday 30 April 2024 at around 07.40. Wit.
In the KKB attack, 1 Toraja civilian named Alexsander Parapak (20), male, died as a result of being hit by a shot from the KKB in the left chest, penetrating the back and under the left armpit.
Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, when confirmed regarding the attack incident, said that it was true that there was an attack on the KKB in the Homeyo Intan Jaya district which was allegedly carried out by the Keni Tipagau group from Kodap VIII Kemabu.
The Head of the Public Relations Task Force continued, the incident started at around 07.40 WIT. The sound of a series of gunshots was heard towards the house of Aipda Tri Setyo and the house of Aipda Bartholomeus at the Homeyo Police Station so that members of the Sector Police fired shots in the direction of the shots and around 6 KKB people were seen running. towards the Inpres Pogapa Elementary School building.
“From the KKB attack, 1 Toraja victim, Aleksander Parapak (20), male, died,” explained the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.
He added, for the current situation in Intan Jaya, Ops Damai Cartenz is still taking law enforcement steps against the KKB, and increasing preparedness in providing security guarantees for the community in Intan Regency.
