From Terror to Transformation, the Struggle of Papua’s Young Generation to Create Change

Papua – Even though the shadow of terror from the armed criminal group (KBB) continues to haunt, the young generation of Papua shows extraordinary resilience and determination to pursue their dreams and build a better future.

Crimes that include burning school buildings as a form of terror have become a tough test for them, but hope and enthusiasm remain in the hearts of Papuan youth.

Various representatives of youth groups spoke about their desire to fight for their basic rights, especially the right to education.

Nelson Ondi, one of the youth representatives, once said that the current enemies of the Papuan people are the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and elites involved in corruption. However, this will not discourage you.

The victims of the KKB and the corrupt elite, said Nelson, are women and children in Papua. “Many victims, especially women and children, are not exposed,” he said.

In an effort to increase security and protect the younger generation, security forces are intensively carrying out eradication operations against armed criminal groups (KKB). The government also continues to promote development programs to create jobs and improve community welfare.

With full support from the government and society, Papuan youth are confident that a bright future for Papua can be realized, and the KKB terror will soon become a dark memory in this land.
