Papua- Papua is now increasingly advanced and prosperous thanks to various accelerated development programs that have been continuously intensified by the government over the years.
One of the Papuan figures, as well as the Chair of the Melanesian Youth Diplomacy Forum, Steve Mara, really admitted that so far the efforts to accelerate development carried out by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) during the leadership of the seventh President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) were indeed very significant and could be felt by the entire people of Bumi Cenderawasih.
“In fact, not only carrying out physical development, namely by procuring many infrastructure projects, President Jokowi has also shown his strong commitment to further improving the quality of human resources (HR) in Bumi Cenderawasih,” he said.
He also discussed massive infrastructure development, Papua now has many bridges and there is even Trans Papua which is ready to be able to connect one region to another so that it can open up regional isolation and enable these regions to be reached more easily.
So, with the openness of this isolation, several remote areas in Papua are now starting to receive optimal public services, even the same as in other cities.
“This also includes, if the government is willing to distribute aid, it will be easier,” said Steve Mara.
Apart from that, he said that there is another thing that is made easier by open access, namely increasing security from security personnel to protect Bumi Cenderawasih.
“The development carried out by the Government is of course for the sake of increasing prosperity and making Papua more advanced,” he said.
This is a clear example of President Joko Widodo’s strong commitment to realizing an even development paradigm throughout Indonesia by implementing the Indonesiacentric concept, thereby abandoning the old paradigm which is considered to continue to focus development only on the island of Java or is Javacentric.
So far, the government continues to do and strive for whatever is best for Papua, so there is an obligation that all young generations in Bumi Cenderawasih should be able to carry out so that they can jointly maintain efforts to accelerate development.
