Governor of Central Papua Invites Residents to Live in Peace to Build Intan Jaya
Jayapura – Acting Governor of Central Papua, Ribka Haluk, invited the local community, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, to live peacefully without conflict and together support the government in rebuilding the area.
“On Wednesday (24/1) we held a joint meeting with all stakeholders to discuss resolving the conflict that occurred in Intan Jaya Regency,” he said in a press release in Jayapura, Saturday (27/1) as reported by Antaranews.
According to Rebekah, his party hopes that the conflict occurring in Intan Jaya Regency can be stopped immediately.
“We invite all regional heads, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, to focus on developing the area and improving the welfare of the community,” he said.
He explained that as a result of this conflict, the security stability situation in the area was disrupted, which had an impact on the community.
“The impact of the problems there has resulted in there being no flights, so food needs are starting to run low,” he said again.
According to Rebekah, at the meeting there were several points that had been agreed upon and signed together, with the aim of stopping this conflict.
“This problem cannot be allowed to drag on, so through this meeting we made a joint agreement,” he said again.
He appealed to the people in Central Papua Province, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, not to be influenced by fake news that could tear unity apart.
