Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force: KKB Acts Again, Intan Jaya Regency ASN House Burned down

Jayapura- After previously on Friday, January 19, 2024, the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Intan Jaya region, which allegedly came from the Undius Kogoya group, carried out an attack that resulted in the death of Briptu Posthumous Alfando Steve Karamoy due to gunfire, again on Saturday, January 20, 2024 yesterday, the Papuan KKB, which allegedly still came from the same group, burned down the house of the Intan Jaya Regency government ASN. (Sunday/21/01/2024).

Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., M.H., M.M., when confirmed said, based on reports received from the Intan Jaya Police, it is true that there was a disturbance from the KKB group which resulted in the official house of the Intan Jaya Regency ASN being burned down.

“The incident started at around 13.40. wit, the KKB group suspected of being Undius Kogoya’s group shot at the TNI post and led to the burning of the Intan Jaya Regency ASN official house,” said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.

The Head of the Public Relations Task Force continued, until now, the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force and Intan Jaya Police are conducting investigations related to the burning of the ASN official house.

“We are still collecting information related to who are the employees (Victims) who occupy the Intan Jaya Regency Government Office House that was burned,” explained the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.

He added, until now there has been no report related to the existence of casualties from the burning of the ASN Office House.

“We really hope for the support of the community to actively participate in maintaining security and order in the area of the diamond district, so that in the future the diamond district will become a safe and peaceful district.” Close the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.
