Jayapura- The Yahukimo Resort Police and the Cartenz-2023 Ops Peace Task Force have successfully handed over members and sympathizers of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) as well as evidence from the second phase of handling this case to the Jayawijaya District Attorney’s Office in Wamena, Saturday / 26/8 / 2023.
The suspects were dispatched by Hercules aircraft from Yahukimo Regency to Wamena City on Thursday, August 24, 2023, then.
Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K, M.H., as Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2023, explained that the suspects who had been handed over were members and sympathizers of the KKB in the Yahukimo Region.
The suspects mentioned are EDISON SOBOLIM (Alias EXSOB), JEKSON SOBOLIM (Alias JEKSON), NINDO MOHI, and AMRIN JAMALUDIN (Alias ANDRE). They were involved in murder, hacking, and shooting cases that were successfully revealed and carried out by them such as;
1. Police Report Number: LP / 31 / IV / 2023 / Res Yahukimo dated April 30, 2023 regarding premeditated murder that occurred on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
2. Police Report Number: LP / 37 / VI / 2023 / Res Yahukimo dated June 13, 2023 concerning Arson and Possession, Carrying, Sharp Weapons Without Rights which occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Kombes Faizal also explained that these suspects had been handed over to the Jayawijaya District Attorney (Wamena) because the case file had been declared complete (P21) by the prosecutor’s office. This indicates that the investigation process and evidence collection are sufficient so that it can proceed to the prosecution stage.
