Jayapura – The Yahukimo Resort Police (Polres) conducted a Case Investigation (TKP) in the burning of the Multipurpose Building which houses the BPMK, PTSP and Dispenda Yahukimo Regency Offices, Friday (25/03).
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom., when confirmed, confirmed the fire.
The Head of Public Relations said that the Yahukimo Police Criminal Investigation Unit is currently trying to find out the cause of the fire by conducting a TKP examination.
“Not only conducting crime scene investigations, we also collect the evidence we get,” said the Head of Public Relations when contacted via WhatsApp.
“We had experienced problems due to the lack of witnesses who were at the scene, but from the information we have obtained and the samples we have taken from the TKP, we will try our best to uncover the cause of the fire,” he added.
The Head of Public Relations emphasized to all parties, especially those who are suspected of carrying out actions that are not commendable, to be stopped because these actions are against the law and must be strictly followed up by the Security Forces.
Previously, on Thursday (24/08) at around 00.48 wit that there had been a massive fire in the multipurpose building used by three agencies in Yahukimo Regency, Papua, Wednesday (23/8/2023). The fire occurred on Jalan Kurima Dekai, Yahukimo Regency.
