Jayapura – Papua Deputy Police Chief, Brigadier General Ramdani Hidayat, S.H., conducted a review at the General Elections Commission (KPU) Office of Yahukimo Regency, Tuesday (9/8/2023). The review was carried out with the aim of seeing firsthand the conditions and impact of the incident.
Present at the review were a number of Main Officials from the Papua Regional Police and several officers from the Yahukimo Police as well as Brimob personnel.
Where at 16.15 WIT, the group led by the Deputy Chief of Police for Papua and accompanied by the Yahukimo Police Chief, AKBP Arief Kristanto, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc., left the Yahukimo Resort Police Headquarters to the burning location of the Yahukimo Regency KPU Office which is located on Jalan Sahosa Km- 2, Dekai District.
The Wakapolda Papua and the Kapolres Yahukimo as well as a number of other key officials who arrived at the location immediately checked and reviewed the damage caused by this fire.
The Wakapolda Papua directly conducted a check and review regarding the fire incident involving the Yahukimo Regency KPU Office. He checked the condition of the burning buildings and saw the impact caused by the incident.
These series of reviews were carried out in an effort to gain a better understanding of this fire incident. In this situation, the police continue to carry out intensive investigations to identify the perpetrators and motives behind the fire.
For your information, the Dekai District General Election Commission (KPU) office in Yahukimo Regency, Papua, was reported on fire at 08.48 Eastern Indonesian Time, Sunday (6/8/2023). Currently, investigations are ongoing to uncover the cause of the burning of the building.
