Mimika. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri provided 1,500 food packages, 5 tons of rice and 1,500 jackets to residents affected by drought in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province.
The aid package was handed over by the Papua Police Karolog, Kombes Pol Agus Setyawan, SIK accompanied by the Mimika Police Chief, AKBP I Gede Putra, SH, SIK, MH symbolically to the Puncak Regent, Willem Wandik at the Puncak Regency disaster emergency response post on Jalan C. Heatubun, Timika, Central Papua, Thursday (3/8/2023).
The National Police hopes that the assistance will be used to reduce the burden being faced by the people in Puncak Regency who are victims of the impact of extreme weather.
“The amount is from the Chief of Police as many as 1000 food packages, 5 tons of rice, 500 adult cold jackets and 100 children’s jackets, while from the Papua Police Chief, 500 food packages, 500 adult jackets and 50 children’s jackets,” he said.
Meanwhile, Willem Wandik expressed his gratitude for the support and attention from the Kapolri and Kapolda Papua.
“Once again for the support and assistance of the Chief of Police and the Papua Police Chief, we thank you,” he said.
He added, the TNI-Porli government tried to distribute aid to its destination, namely in Agandugume District and Lambewu District.
