Jayapura – The Dogiyai Resort Police are currently handling a fire case in their jurisdiction, Monday (31/7/2023). The fires occurred in two different locations.
Head of Papua Police Public Relations, Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom, when confirmed, confirmed the incident.
Benny said, as a result of the fire that occurred in Kimupugi Village, Kamuu District, two former Dogiyai Regency office units became victims of the red rooster’s fury.
“The fire occurred at 10.00 WIT, at the Office of the Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) Office and the Office of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) in Dogiyai Regency,” he explained.
Not long after that, Benny said, at 11.00 WIT, the flames raged again in a different area. Namely, Ekimanida Village, precisely on Jalan Trans Nabire Enarotali, which resulted in eight houses being burned down.
“Currently the Dogiyai Police are still conducting field investigations to ascertain the cause of the fire and the losses incurred as a result of this fire,” added Benny.
After the fire, the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police appealed to all levels of society not to be provoked, to remain calm, and to hand this case over to the police.
