Police Arrest 1 KKB Member Regarding the Trigana Air Shooting in Yahukimo

Jayapura – The Yahukimo Regional Police arrested a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in connection with the shooting of the Trigana Air plane at Nop Goliat Dekai Airport, Yahukimo Regency on Saturday 11 March 2023.

Head of Papua Police Public Relations, Kombes Pol Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo said, EG (23) was known to be involved in the Armed Criminal Group KODAP XVI Leader of Kopi Tua Heluka Yamue Battalion.

“The authorities have examined 7 people for further investigation after the shooting, but the authorities have sent home 6 people because they have nothing to do with the shooting incident, for 1 person who is still being detained,” said Benny, Monday, March 13, 2023.

EG is currently still in the stage of deeper investigation to reveal who was the mastermind behind the shooting of the Trigana Air PK-YSC B737-500 aircraft a few days ago.

Previously, the Boeing Trigana Air PK YSC B 373-500 aircraft was shot at by unknown persons at Nop Goliat Dekai Airport, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains Province on Saturday, March 11 2023. The shooting caused one of the passengers to be injured.

At least 7 people were secured by the joint team after the plane shooting. They were arrested during a sweep in the vulnerable area of ​​Nop Goliat Dekai Airport. The joint team also secured a number of motorcycle evidence, a number of sharp weapons and traditional weapons.
